A quick look: Umberto Giannini

A few months ago I bought these hair items on a whim in Boots, when I felt like my hair just needed to appear healthier and more vibrant. I love the shine mist that is so easy to apply, just the same as hair spray. It immediately gives my hair more shine which is great. I don't use this on a daily basis though, just for nights out and special occasions where I want my hair to look polished, super sleek and healthy.

The overnight hair repair doesn't appear to have made much of a difference to the silkiness and healthiness of my hair but my hair has luckily never been too damaged from colour but has been from using hair straighteners. Although I haven't used it religiously every day (I'm at my parents for the weekend and I forgot to pack it) so maybe if i was consistence it would make a more noticeable difference as all I have to do is apply a small amount each day.

Overall I'm loving the shine spray for instant impact and results to my hair, however I really do want to get the hair repair to appear to work, so for the new year I'll try to use it everyday! I'm going to take more care of my hair this year!

Thank you student loans...

I am trying to control my spending at the moment, especially after Christmas and the fact that I've just booked a holiday with my friends this summer, which i'm extremely excited for!

So bearing that in mind I'm trying to be good with what I buy, but with sales being on and the influence of my flat mates I haven't quite managed to stick to my plans, but I do love what I bought.

I love these blue 'Leigh' super soft skinny jeans i got from my Topshop spree. They are soooo comfy when I'm wearing them and really don't feel like jeans at all, more like leggings. But I wanted to get on the bright colour jeans trend and these are a great way to start as they are more colour blocking than ordinary jeans but aren't quite bright red, which I feel I would find harder to style more. However i am very tempted to get some pale orange skinny jeans from Dorothy Perkins too, which would also easily tie in the pastel trend for this season, two trends in one.

Also, I bought some black leggings with a panel running down the side, more of an essential than anything, but they are the thicker material, so that's why I could justify them for the cold British winters.

Finally i got this panelled bodycon dress with mesh sections. I wouldn't normally go for mesh cut out sections as I am concious of my stomach area, but when I tried it on, the dress fitted perfectly. A complete surprise to me, and it goes great with my brown/red hair. The mesh panels are just enough and not too revealing, but the dress is quite short in length on me, so I'll defintiely be wearing some tights!!

First new year spree..

It's a new year and that means time for more shopping, wahoooo! Even though i have very little money as my student loan hasn't come in, and a haven't been paid yet, I do have (did) a bit of money to splurge from Christmas time.
With La Zenza closing down in my local shopping centre, I made sure to buy new items, as things were reduced from £25 to £10 which is really good value.
I did buy a few items of clothes in the sale, from River Island and Dorothy Perkins, nothing really attracted my attention though (which is sort of a good thing with a lack of income), however i did splurge on accessories a little, all in the sales though.
I got a lovely clutch from Primark which cost me £3, which i though goes great with a simple outfit and can easily change a look, and for that price who can argue really?! I love love love my new ring from Ribbon and Asher, which is a cute elephant which goes over your finger. I think it's quite unique to other rings and also something i didn't have so could totally justify it, especially priced at £2! The other jewellery pieces are simpler and can be layered up, maybe not essential but I still really like them.
In superdrug they had Revlon lip and nail products on any two for £9.99, so decided I'd purchase a couple of items. I picked the colourburst lip-glosses in 'Rose' and 'Peony'. I'm really impressed by them as the pigmentation is really good, especially for a gloss and the colour stays on my lips for a couple of hours, but the gloss fades quicker.
Finally I splurged on the new Vera Wang perfume, Lovestruck. I've been wanting to try the perfume for ages after seeing the adverts with Leighton Meester in and absolutely adoring the colour and cut of the dress she is wearing (definitely shows celeb endorsements are worth it if your gullible enough like me!!). I love the smell, it's light, romantic and floral, and something really easy to wear everyday, my new favourite of the minute, even over taking Lacoste touch of pink!
Think I need a bit more money before I go shopping the next time though, I may have to find a way to recycle the clothes i no longer need, either that or sell them online!
