Plink love
My current favourite lipstick for the moment is MAC's 'Plink!' lustre lipstick. It's a great colour for both day and night-time looks, so I only need to pop one lipstick in my bag, instead of tons of different shades.
It's effortless to wear as I can literally pop it on and I look complete. A definite current favourite in my eyes!

Spring love
For the past few weeks I've been loving the Garnier summer body moisturiser, which is also a gradual tanner. When we had a mini British heatwave a couple of weeks ago i didn't want to be looking like a ghost and reflecting the light so I began applying this moisturiser again.
I got the larger of the bottles for £3.55 in Superdrug, which is great because my last bottle lasted me ages last year.
It's great for building a subtle gradual tan just like if you were to sunbathe but without the burning, which I always do no matter how often I reapply sun cream of a super high factor.
WIthout a doubt my favourite gradual tanner out of all I have tried, I just make sure I apply a touch of normal moisturiser to areas such as my knees and elbows first to avoid them going orange and everyone knowing that I'm wearing tan!

Boots Spree
On my last trip to boots I had to spend £30 for my extra points to be added, and it's not that hard for me to spend quickly in that place!
I got the Argan Oil hair treatment which is practically the same as Moroccan Oil but a lot lot cheaper. It gives my hair way more shine which I love and for £12.99 saves me a lot of money.
Natural collection always have 3 items for £5, so i nearly always end up getting the offer instead of just one, I have a weakness to special offers of any sort. I got two blushes that were recommended by another beauty blogger, and they really are worth it! They have pretty good colour pay off, especially for £1.99 each. I got rosy glow and sweet cheeks, and they both really warn up my complexion. And also a neutral gloss that goes with anything, I love it for when you're running out the door.
I love Photoready foundation by revlon, it's my go to foundation for any night out or even during the day sometimes. I didn't necessarily need it this time but i dont want to run out of it, so this is my back up for when i do, because you just never know when it's going to go!
I also picked up a revlon lipstick in 'Pink in the afternoon', i thought i might become a little more adventurous with spring/summer day time lipsticks, because normally i only wear glosses and tinted lip balms in the summer. Its a creamy texture and a subtle shade of bright pink, I can only try it and see.
Revlon just bitten lip products are great for long-lasting colour without it being a thicker lipstick, something you don't always want. I got this product in the colour twilight. Its a deeper shade of pink/cranberry which allows you to create a more statement lip without it feeling really heavy. It's a great daytime product. I know these came out ages ago but I've just never thought that they would be any good and just stayed away from them, but they've surprised me :)
Collection 2000 concealer in light and Rimmel Stay matte pressed powder in translucent are two staples in my everyday make-up routine. The concealer has such good coverage and easily hides the worst of spots and even under-eye dark circles, it's brilliant, especially for the price of just over £4!

I know they've been selling really fast though, just like the Clinique giveaway with Cosmopolitan, but it's definitely worth a try!

79p lashes
I love these lashes I recently bought from my local Home Bargains, especially due to their 79p price tag! In boots I've seen them for a minimum of £5, so these are a bargain in comparison.
They come with red string on the ends of the lashes which is meant to make the application easier, however I find that they just get in the way, so I just remove them before I put them on which doesn't bother me.
This particular pair gives a subtler and voluminous effect to your lashes without appearing over the top. I really recommend them at such a bargain price!!

A wardrobe addition
Crop biker jacket: Miss Selfridge: £49
With it being a cropped jacket I feel it adds a slight edge to the jacket, so the rest of the outfit can be simpler, which is what I like, one statement piece.
The jacket also doesn't have that cheap look about it which other faux leather effect jackets do sometimes tend to have, which I really like.
The only thing I wish is that the price could have been slightly less, however as an investment piece I can wear for quite a while, I believe it to be money worth spent! I don't think I'll be taking this off for quite some time! Love It!!!

New Spring Shoes
I can tell it's getting nearer spring time, I felt the urge to buy ballerina flats for the first time this year. I love these neutral pumps I found in Next the other day. They will go with most things because of the colour and the jewels on the front just that something extra, because I'm really not one for anything super plain.
They'll also go great with the coloured skinny jeans that I've been buying recently, and help me get out of the winter blues! Can't wait for Spring/Summer now, I love everything I'm seeing at the minute.

Clinique mascara swap
I wasn't going to do the Clinique mascara swap when I first hear about it as I thought you had to swap an existing Clinique mascara and I've never owned one. But once I hear that it could be a mascara from any company I didn't hesitate to try a new one.
I must have taken the most used and dried up mascara in the world, and I felt really stingy thinking it to swap for a full sized sample, but I did It anyway.
Out of the two you could choose from I picked the volumising mascara, because that is what I tend to go for and I also preferred the wand on the 'High Impact' mascara.
I actually really like this mascara, It gives me volume at the roots and also provides quite a bit of length (especially when I seem to have hardly any lashes at the minute).
It's definitely a good marketing ploy because I am soooo tempted to go buy this after I've used up my sample and more of the ones I am currently using, so I can justify the purchase!! I'd never thought to try Clinique mascara before but i may have been converted, thanks Clinique!

A quick look: Umberto Giannini
A few months ago I bought these hair items on a whim in Boots, when I felt like my hair just needed to appear healthier and more vibrant. I love the shine mist that is so easy to apply, just the same as hair spray. It immediately gives my hair more shine which is great. I don't use this on a daily basis though, just for nights out and special occasions where I want my hair to look polished, super sleek and healthy.
The overnight hair repair doesn't appear to have made much of a difference to the silkiness and healthiness of my hair but my hair has luckily never been too damaged from colour but has been from using hair straighteners. Although I haven't used it religiously every day (I'm at my parents for the weekend and I forgot to pack it) so maybe if i was consistence it would make a more noticeable difference as all I have to do is apply a small amount each day.
Overall I'm loving the shine spray for instant impact and results to my hair, however I really do want to get the hair repair to appear to work, so for the new year I'll try to use it everyday! I'm going to take more care of my hair this year!

Thank you student loans...
So bearing that in mind I'm trying to be good with what I buy, but with sales being on and the influence of my flat mates I haven't quite managed to stick to my plans, but I do love what I bought.
I love these blue 'Leigh' super soft skinny jeans i got from my Topshop spree. They are soooo comfy when I'm wearing them and really don't feel like jeans at all, more like leggings. But I wanted to get on the bright colour jeans trend and these are a great way to start as they are more colour blocking than ordinary jeans but aren't quite bright red, which I feel I would find harder to style more. However i am very tempted to get some pale orange skinny jeans from Dorothy Perkins too, which would also easily tie in the pastel trend for this season, two trends in one.
Also, I bought some black leggings with a panel running down the side, more of an essential than anything, but they are the thicker material, so that's why I could justify them for the cold British winters.
Finally i got this panelled bodycon dress with mesh sections. I wouldn't normally go for mesh cut out sections as I am concious of my stomach area, but when I tried it on, the dress fitted perfectly. A complete surprise to me, and it goes great with my brown/red hair. The mesh panels are just enough and not too revealing, but the dress is quite short in length on me, so I'll defintiely be wearing some tights!!

First new year spree..
With La Zenza closing down in my local shopping centre, I made sure to buy new items, as things were reduced from £25 to £10 which is really good value.
I did buy a few items of clothes in the sale, from River Island and Dorothy Perkins, nothing really attracted my attention though (which is sort of a good thing with a lack of income), however i did splurge on accessories a little, all in the sales though.
I got a lovely clutch from Primark which cost me £3, which i though goes great with a simple outfit and can easily change a look, and for that price who can argue really?! I love love love my new ring from Ribbon and Asher, which is a cute elephant which goes over your finger. I think it's quite unique to other rings and also something i didn't have so could totally justify it, especially priced at £2! The other jewellery pieces are simpler and can be layered up, maybe not essential but I still really like them.
In superdrug they had Revlon lip and nail products on any two for £9.99, so decided I'd purchase a couple of items. I picked the colourburst lip-glosses in 'Rose' and 'Peony'. I'm really impressed by them as the pigmentation is really good, especially for a gloss and the colour stays on my lips for a couple of hours, but the gloss fades quicker.
Finally I splurged on the new Vera Wang perfume, Lovestruck. I've been wanting to try the perfume for ages after seeing the adverts with Leighton Meester in and absolutely adoring the colour and cut of the dress she is wearing (definitely shows celeb endorsements are worth it if your gullible enough like me!!). I love the smell, it's light, romantic and floral, and something really easy to wear everyday, my new favourite of the minute, even over taking Lacoste touch of pink!
Think I need a bit more money before I go shopping the next time though, I may have to find a way to recycle the clothes i no longer need, either that or sell them online!
